I am Rattan, a Bangalore-based artist on a mission to make art accessible and fun for everyone. Here is a look behind my canvas.

A little introduction to me. I'm Rattan, a Bangalore based artist, cat lover, and swiftie. My vision is to bring art into the everyday lives of people through my paintings and workshops.

A reminder to myself and to you: just make things. Don't let anything stop you from making art. Keep the artist in you alive.

A little behind the scenes of what goes into planning and executing a workshop. A lot of love and effort goes into it, and your support means the world to me.

About About Me & My Mission

When you join one of my sessions, you do not need to know how to draw a straight line. I handle all the supplies, from the canvases to the unlimited paints, so you just show up ready to make a mess, laugh, and pick up some real techniques like color mixing and texture work without the pressure of perfectionism.

I started my art journey in 2018, and honestly, the imposter syndrome is still real sometimes. That is exactly why I teach the way I do. My workshops, like the Sip & Paint events in Bangalore or my Taylor Swift themed nights, are meant to be an escape from that pressure.

Whether you are a complete beginner who says 'I can’t even draw a stick figure' or someone looking to reconnect with your creative side, these sessions are for you. We focus on fun—silly icebreakers, good music, and zero judgment. You will learn the basics of acrylics and watercolors, how to fix those 'oops' moments, and how to mix colors so you actually get the shade you want.

For my private duo sessions, I offer a more personalized space. We spend about 3 hours together with larger canvases, a snack platter, and custom photo guidance. If you are looking for something digital, my online workshops via Google Meet are perfect for honing specific skills from the comfort of your home.

I believe art is for everyone. It is not about fancy degrees or perfect lines, it is about sharing the joy of making something. When you come to a workshop, you take home your own artwork, a bit of new knowledge, and hopefully, a lighter heart. Let's make some art.
