Why I Teach Art
I’m Rattan, a self-taught artist who knows that feeling of “maybe I’m not good enough.” My workshops are my little escape from all that. I want you to feel what I feel when I paint - just joy, no pressure. It’s not about perfect lines or fancy degrees. It’s about having fun and, honestly, making a bit of a mess sometimes.
What I Offer
- I do a mix of in-person and online art lessons for beginners. Join me at some cool Bangalore cafes for guided sip and paint events, or hop onto Google Meet from your home.
- Themed painting workshops are my jam: from Taylor Swift party nights (yes, friendship bracelets and all) to painting “Starry Night” together, to getting artsy on tote bags, plates, and more.
- I also host private parties - birthdays, team events, art dates with your sajni (sweetheart) or thangakudams (treasures). We can even turn your travel photos into a memory on canvas.
How My Classes Feel
- No need to know anything - most people who come in say “I can’t even draw a straight line.” Perfect. You’re my people.
- 100% judgment-free. We start with icebreakers, play good music, and everyone’s art looks different, which is the point.
- You’ll actually learn stuff: basic acrylic and watercolor techniques, color mixing (no more moye moye results), textures, and how to fix things when they go wrong.
What’s Included
- All art supplies (canvas, paints, brushes, everything). Just show up.
- You take home whatever you create.

My Story
Hey, I’m Rattan! I’m that anxious, self-taught artist in Bangalore who’s always fighting imposter syndrome. If you’re a creative soul with a messy heart, you get me. Every painting I do is a little piece of me, not just a job. I live for those moments when someone finally gets their art after months and lights up. And my art workshops? Especially the Taylor Swift ones—they’re just pure joy, music, and a lot of laughing (and maybe crying). Art’s for everyone, trust me.

Custom Portraits - I turn your memories into art—weddings, pets, anything—mostly with acrylics on any canvas shape you like.
Workshops & Parties - Beginner-friendly art classes and parties, lots of silly warm-ups, no pressure, just painting for fun. Swifties, you’ll love it.
How it works - For commissions, there’s usually a waitlist. We’ll chat, tweak things, and I’ll pour my heart into every layer.
