Your living room is where daily stories unfold. We design spaces that balance modern comfort with traditional warmth, creating a home that is as ready for hosting as it is for quiet evenings.

This living room is where modern comfort meets timeless Indian artistry. I anchored the space with a large, hand-carved wooden panel and a delicate jali screen, creating a backdrop that feels both grand and personal. The neutral sofas and contemporary lighting ensure the room remains bright and welcoming, a perfect space for family stories to unfold.

For this open-plan home, creating a sense of connection was key. I designed a breakfast bar that acts as a gentle partition between the living and dining areas, perfect for casual meals or conversations. The space is filled with natural light and thoughtful details like a custom wine rack and contemporary chairs, making it ideal for hosting friends and family.

I love creating spaces that feel layered with history and personality. This living room corner features a classic tan leather sofa, a traditional wooden swing, and unique brass decor like the fish-shaped table. It’s a celebration of Indian craft and modern comfort, all in one frame.

A traditional solid wood swing becomes a stunning focal point against a custom-made tile installation with a bold green marble pattern. This space is designed for relaxation, with an elegant armchair and soft rug creating a perfect corner to unwind.

To add character to this spacious living room, I used a combination of wall treatments. A panel of vertical rafters adds texture, while a bold blue sofa brings a vibrant splash of color. The result is a contemporary space that feels dynamic and full of personality.

This living room is an exercise in subtle elegance. I used a textured lime wash on the walls with minimalist arched grooves to create a soft, sculptural effect. The powder blue sofa and earthy decor pieces add warmth and comfort, making the space feel calm and inviting.

To maximize seating in this compact living room, I designed a custom TV unit that spans the entire wall and includes a built-in seating nook. The warm wood finish and ample shelving provide space for books and cherished collectibles, while refurbished family furniture preserves a lifetime of memories.

This living room draws you in with its quiet refinement. The feature wall combines marble-finish panels with delicate gold inlays for a touch of elegance. A rich wooden TV console and a bold traditional rug ground the space, creating a perfect balance of contemporary style and classic warmth.

Here, an L-shaped sofa provides ample seating, oriented towards a stunning carved wood art piece. The traditional red rug adds a layer of warmth and color, while the jali screen partition adds a touch of Indian heritage.

A home is a collection of memories, and this gallery wall is the heart of this living room. I worked with the family to arrange their cherished photographs, creating a personal story that unfolds across the wall. It’s a living testament to shared laughter, milestones, and the moments that matter.

About The Heart of the Home: Living & Social Spaces

We often see living rooms that look good in photos but fail to handle the flow of a gathering. Our approach centers on spatial functionality—using breakfast bars as subtle separators or building custom seating nooks into media units to maximize space without cluttering the room. Whether you want to integrate a heritage piece like a wooden swing or need a full-wall storage system, we design these areas to feel lived-in and deeply personal.

A living room serves as the stage for your daily life, and at Tesor, we prioritize how you actually inhabit that space. We avoid generic, copy-paste layouts, preferring to structure the room around your habits. If you host frequent house parties, we plan layouts that prioritize circulation, using intelligent dividers like jali screens or open shelving to keep areas distinct yet connected.

Our Approach to Social Spaces

  • Material Integrity: We lean into textures that ground a room, such as lime wash walls, teak rafters, or marble accents. These elements provide visual interest without needing heavy decor.
  • Functional Refurbishing: If you have existing family furniture with sentimental value, we often restore and reupholster these pieces to anchor the new design, blending history with modern lines.
  • Custom Joinery: From TV units to foyer dividers, every piece is built to solve a problem—be it concealed wire management, hidden storage for dining linens, or display shelves for your collectibles.
  • Lighting Layers: We move beyond a single ceiling light. By integrating profile lighting in joinery, cove lights for ambiance, and dedicated reading lamps, we allow you to change the mood of the room instantly.

Whether you are looking for a modern-traditional aesthetic with a focus on Indian craft or a clean, contemporary open-plan design, we ensure the final result is a functional reflection of your personality.
