On-Court Tennis Drills & Technique Coaching
Stop just hitting balls and start playing with purpose. We break down your mechanics, build your muscle memory, and ensure every shot you take has a solid foundation.
The secret to fluid, powerful shots is in your hips. I teach the '45 and 8' rule: align your body to 45 degrees and drive your shots with a figure-8 hip rotation. This is how you generate power from your core, not just your arm.
A consistent serve starts with a consistent toss. I break down the two key indicators, your pocket and your eye line, to help you master the ball toss for both powerful first serves and safe second serves.
The small details make a big difference. This video highlights some essential basics, like proper footwork after a shot and maintaining a ready position, that are fundamental to improving your rally tolerance and court coverage.
We always come back to the fundamentals. Here, I'm working with a player on the basic mechanics of their swing. Mastering these core movements is the foundation for building a reliable and effective game.
Leading by example is a core part of my coaching. Here, I'm demonstrating the correct forehand technique and contact point to a group of our young players, ensuring they see and understand the form we're working towards.

About On-Court Drills & Technique
Tennis is 80% legs and core movement. If your shots feel weak, it is rarely your arm's fault. We focus on fixing your hip rotation and footwork first, building the power through the kinetic chain before we ever worry about how hard you swing.
Improving your tennis game isn't about watching highlight reels; it's about repeating the right movements until they become automatic. At our Santacruz and Matunga locations, my team and I strip your game down to its core components.
Mastering the Fundamentals
We obsess over the details that players usually ignore. You will learn the '45 and 8' rule—keeping your body aligned at 45 degrees while using your hips to drive the shot. If your hips don't drive, your arm does all the work, and that is how injuries happen. We use high-volume feeding drills to correct your grip, backswing, and contact point until that 'phatka' becomes consistent.
The Serve Mechanics
Your serve is the only shot you fully control. We fix the toss by using two simple cues: your pocket and your eye line. Whether it is a first serve for power or a second serve for safety, we ensure your ball release is consistent every single time. A shaky toss leads to a shaky game, and we do not allow that.
Our Training Approach
We run sessions in small groups so you get enough reps, not just standing in line. We prioritize:
- Footwork patterns: Ensuring you are in the right position before you swing.
- Rally tolerance: Building the stamina to keep the ball in play.
- Tactical awareness: Understanding where to hit, not just how to hit.
We provide the plan and the court time, but the effort comes from you. If you are ready to put in the work and actually improve, come train with us.
