Why We Skip Wax and Chemicals

Many clients come to us asking about wax or gel to speed up the locking process. We skip those entirely. Using wax or glue creates unnecessary buildup, traps dirt, and makes it incredibly difficult to keep your scalp clean. By using only sterile crochet hooks, we weave loose hair back into the loc body manually. This tightens the root and reinforces the shaft without adding anything foreign to your hair.

Our Process

Whether you are planning your first set of permanent dreadlocks or you have had them for years and need a touch-up, the process is detailed and deliberate.

• For Installations: We start with a consultation to analyze your hair texture. We focus on the sectioning pattern, such as the brick lay or grid, to ensure the weight is distributed evenly. This prevents excessive tension on the scalp and ensures your locs sit comfortably.
• For Maintenance: We focus on root tightening and frizz control. If you have let your regrowth go for a while, we carefully pull those loose hairs back into the existing loc. We also provide tip blunting if your ends are starting to look thin or messy.
