About From Learner to Artist: My Student's Journey
We start every session with cone control on paper because I believe hands-on foundation is everything. In our small groups, you are not just learning from me, you are learning from the progress of the person sitting next to you. Whether it is your first time holding a cone or you are mastering bridal figures, we go at your pace until your lines are sharp and your confidence is there.
Learning mehndi is a safar (journey) that requires patience and practice. In my classes, we do not rush. Whether you sign up for the Foundation and Arabic Mehndi course or the Advanced Bridal and Figure Masterclass, the first step is always the same: building cone control on paper.
Why we start on paper
It sounds simple, but holding a cone correctly and maintaining consistent pressure is the secret to clean, beautiful lines. You will spend time in your sketchbook with our 12 practice cones before we ever move to skin. This removes the pressure of getting it right immediately and lets you focus purely on the flow of your patterns.
Small group learning
I keep my batches small, usually 8 to 12 students. This is not just about me teaching you, it is about the energy of the room. You will watch live demos, see how your peers handle tricky motifs like peacocks or bridal portraits, and learn from their mistakes alongside your own. There is something motivating about seeing someone else master a shading technique right beside you.
From basics to bridal
The curriculum is designed to grow with you. We cover everything from the consistency of organic henna paste to complex anatomical drawings for bridal figures. If you are aiming for professional work, we even cover speed training and how to manage the flow of thick, bridal-weight henna. By the end of our sessions, you are not just copying designs, you are understanding the structure of mehndi art so you can eventually create your own. Whether you are in Goregaon, Mumbai, or joining from Pune, my goal is the same: to help you build the hunar (skill) to create art you are genuinely proud of.
