This detailed charcoal portrait was created by one of our talented students. Our portrait classes focus on capturing likeness and expression through careful shading and line work.

From a blank page to a finished masterpiece. This video shows our students deeply engaged in their charcoal drawings, with a proud artist showing off her completed still life sketch.

A classic still life study done in charcoal. In our classes, students learn how to observe light and shadow to create depth and realism in their drawings of everyday objects.

Learning to draw realistic features is a key skill. This student proudly displays his detailed pencil sketch of an eye, showcasing his understanding of shading and form.

This video shows the step-by-step process of creating a beautiful Ganesha sketch during our Diwali workshop. Our student demonstrates excellent focus and skill.

We make drawing easy and fun for our youngest artists. Here, Shivani ma'am demonstrates how to draw a cute giraffe starting with the simple letter 'H'.

A typical day in our art and craft class. Kids are gathered around the table, busy with their drawing books and coloring materials, with our instructor providing guidance.

This is a student's finished charcoal sketch of a still life setup. Notice the detailed work on the metallic shine of the steel utensils, a technique we practice in class.

The final sketch in the artist's workbook, surrounded by the tools of the trade. We encourage students to practice regularly to hone their skills.

Another student's interpretation of the same still life setup. It's wonderful to see how each artist brings their own unique perspective to the same subject.

About Drawing & Sketching

We don't believe in rigid, boring lectures. Whether your child is just starting with basic shapes or a teen exploring advanced charcoal shading, we focus on observation, light, and shadow. Shivani ma'am guides each student in our AC studio to develop their own style, turning every session into a creative escape from screens.

Our Approach to Art

At Tansen Mehrauli, we treat art as a form of self-expression rather than a strict academic subject. Our classroom is a space where 'masti' (fun) meets disciplined learning. We understand that kids learn best when they are excited, so we combine structured drawing lessons with games and festive craft projects.

Kids Hobby Art & Craft

Perfect for children aged 4 and up, these classes focus on building confidence. We move from drawing fundamentals—like understanding shapes and basic coloring—to hands-on DIY projects. Students learn to paint on various surfaces, from canvas to pebbles, ensuring they stay engaged and curious. Our batches are small, typically 6 to 12 students, allowing for personal attention in our air-conditioned studio.

Advanced Fine Arts & Charcoal Training

For teens and adults looking to sharpen their technical skills, our advanced course dives deep into the nuances of light, shadow, and perspective. We cover:

  • Dry Art: Realistic pencil shading, portraiture, and charcoal sketching.
  • Wet Art: Techniques in acrylics and watercolor on canvas.
  • Anatomy & Still Life: Observing real-world objects to build a strong foundation for future artistic growth.

Whether you are looking for a weekend hobby or serious preparation for practical exams, our curriculum provides the technical grounding you need in a relaxed, supportive environment.
