A beautiful moment between me and one of my little ballerinas. We work together to perfect her form, ensuring she builds confidence and grace with every step.

About Building the Dancer: Technique, Strength & Flexibility
Proper ballet technique isn't just about the aesthetic of a high leg, it starts with how you stand at the barre. In our sessions, you won't just follow a group. You will get real-time, hands-on adjustments on your alignment, whether it is correcting a turned-in knee or stabilizing your core during a port de bras, so you build habits that last.
Building a Technical Foundation
At Taglioni, we believe dance is a conversation between your mind and your body. Whether you are a young student starting with foundation levels or an adult returning to the barre, the goal remains the same: safe, efficient, and expressive movement.
What Training Looks Like
Our classes in Sector 57 and at The Beacon School are structured to push your limits without ignoring your personal anatomy. We focus on:
- Barre Work: This is where the work gets real. We dedicate 20 to 30 minutes every session to terminology like Tendu, Plie, and Passe. This isn't just warm-up; it is where you build the balance and discipline required for centre practice.
- Conditioning: We use specific strengthening drills, including Cobra and Superman exercises, to build the back and core stability you need for harder movements.
- Flexibility: We work on active and passive flexibility, focusing on healthy ranges of motion. This includes floor stretches like the pancake and splits, designed to improve your mobility safely.
Your Journey at Taglioni
We hear the same myths constantly: 'I am too old,' or 'I am not flexible enough.' Our classes are built to break those myths. We provide personal corrections in a climate-controlled studio environment, meaning you aren't just one face in a crowded room. You get the attention needed to actually grow.
For those who want to take it further, our advanced dancers work on pointe technique, which involves specific strengthening for ankles and toes. No matter where you start, you are training in a professional environment that prioritizes your progress over everything else.
Taglioni School of Performing Arts
I'm Dharna, and I founded Taglioni to build real dancers, not just people who copy moves. We are a dance family here, and we don't care if you are 4 or 40. If you want to learn, we will put in the work with you.
