About Earthy & Organic
I create these organic setups using natural, skin-safe textures like jute, wool, and rattan that keep your little one calm throughout the session. Because I shoot in my private studio in Panchyawala, I can control the temperature and environment, allowing us to pause whenever your baby needs to feed or snuggle, ensuring we only capture those peaceful, sleepy poses.
The earthy and organic style is all about stripping away distractions to focus on what matters: your baby. By using a neutral color palette—creams, soft browns, and sage greens—we ensure that the portrait remains timeless. A photo taken today in this style will look just as relevant and beautiful in twenty years because it avoids fleeting trends.
The Textures of Comfort
Every prop you see, from the chunky wool flokati rugs to the woven macrame backdrops and vintage wicker baskets, is selected for its tactile quality. Newborns have sensitive skin, so I prioritize soft, natural fabrics like cotton knits and linen wraps. These materials aren't just visually pleasing; they provide a cozy, familiar sensation that helps your baby stay settled while they sleep.
Why the 8–20 Day Window?
For these specific organic setups, timing is everything. Babies are generally in their deepest, sleepiest state between 8 and 20 days after birth. This is when they are most comfortable in the fetal, curled positions that these setups are designed to hold. If your baby is a bit older, don't worry—we can still achieve beautiful results, but we might lean into more awake, alert poses rather than deep-sleep portraits.
My Studio Approach
Safety is the foundation of my work. Everything is sanitized before your arrival, and I keep the studio temperature warm to mimic the womb. When you book a session at my Panchyawala location, you aren't just booking a photographer; you're booking a relaxed experience. We move at the baby's pace, meaning there is zero rush for feedings or comforting, allowing you to actually enjoy the process of witnessing your baby’s first portrait session.
