The Art of Newborn Photography
I see these photos as more than just snapshots. They are the start of your baby's story, capturing the tiny details of those first few weeks before they change forever.
A perfect example of a classic newborn pose. This little one is sleeping peacefully in a rustic, circular wooden prop, dressed in a cozy yellow outfit that contrasts beautifully with the rich, warm tones of the setup.
This is the 'tucked-in' pose, showcasing the baby's tiny feet. The newborn is swaddled in a deep red wrap on a miniature rattan bed, surrounded by roses, creating a rich and romantic feel.
A cozy and rustic scene for a sleeping newborn. Dressed in a white bear bonnet, the baby is nestled in a miniature wooden bed, surrounded by warm candlelight and autumnal props for a storybook feel.
Using unique props can create magical images. Here, a newborn sleeps peacefully atop a rustic wooden pot, surrounded by a soft, floral backdrop that adds a touch of enchantment to the portrait.
A dreamy and whimsical setup for a newborn. The baby is swaddled and placed in a small suitcase, surrounded by fluffy clouds and a whole family of teddy bears, creating a sweet and imaginative scene.
This portrait showcases a beautiful color palette and delicate posing. The sleeping baby, adorned with a lavender headband, rests in a rattan basket with a flowing purple wrap against a floral, dream-like background.
A sweet and simple composition featuring a swaddled newborn and a plush bunny friend. The potato sack pose is a classic way to keep the baby snug and secure, creating an adorable, compact portrait.
This portrait is a beautiful fusion of classic newborn posing and cultural heritage. The baby is safely swaddled and posed with a miniature Sikh turban, pearls, and kirpan, creating a powerful and unique image.
Black and white photography adds a timeless quality to newborn portraits. This close-up captures the pure bliss of a baby's sleepy smile, focusing entirely on the emotion and delicate features.
Photographing twins requires special care and creativity. This unique setup with a miniature bunk bed shows how I can safely and beautifully pose two babies together for an unforgettable portrait.
About The Art of Newborn Photography
My newborn sessions are built entirely around your baby's comfort and safety. A typical session lasts three to four hours, which includes plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and diaper changes. I work with a trained baby safety handler in every shoot, ensuring that every pose is secure while we wait for those natural, sleepy moments to unfold.
When you walk into my studio, the pace slows down. I believe you cannot rush a newborn. My approach is to create a calm, temperature-controlled environment where the baby feels secure enough to settle into a deep, peaceful sleep. Hygiene is a priority in this space; all fabrics, props, and wraps are UV-sanitized before your session begins.
My style of posing is designed to showcase the tiny details—those curled toes, soft peach fuzz, and the way their hands grip a prop. I use a variety of gentle setups, from rustic rattan beds to soft, swaddled 'potato sack' poses that keep the baby snug. You will have access to my collection of luxury knits, bonnets, and wraps, all chosen for their soft texture against sensitive skin.
I encourage parents and siblings to join in for a few portraits. These family shots are often the ones parents treasure the most years later, as they capture the raw, overwhelming love of the first days home. Whether you choose a classic, clean look or an imaginative theme with props, my goal is to deliver high-resolution images that honestly reflect the beauty of your new family dynamic. If you have a specific vision or a cultural theme you would like to incorporate, let me know when you reach out.
First Child Photography
I started this journey with a single camera and a mission to capture those fleeting firsts. Today, I am honored to have studios in four cities, where I get to freeze those tiny yawns and sleepy smiles exactly as they are.
