This brand was not born in a boardroom. It began in my kitchen, driven by the simple need to heal my own skin with ingredients I could trust.
Hi, I’m Lavanya. I wanted to share the real story behind Surabhidasha. It began as a personal journey to heal my skin with pure, natural ingredients, and slowly grew into a brand built on honesty and real results.
Every brand has its own destiny. I was heartbroken when I learned I couldn't use my original brand name, but that setback led to Surabhidasha. In Sanskrit, 'Dasha' means path or destiny, a perfect reflection of my journey.
To everyone who has stood by me and trusted my creations, thank you. Your support means everything. As we grow, I promise to stay true to our roots of purity, honesty, and nature's love in every drop.
I often get asked if skincare can cause breakouts. In this video, I explain the common reasons this happens, like over-cleansing or using the wrong products for your skin type. My goal is to help you understand your skin better so you can care for it properly.

About The Founder's Journey
When I started making my own skincare, I never intended to build a brand. I just wanted to stop my skin from reacting to chemical-laden products. Every formula you see today is an extension of that personal trial and error. Everything you see here started with a personal struggle. I was dealing with skin issues and realized that the products I was buying were often doing more harm than good. I moved to my kitchen, started mixing simple, natural ingredients, and only when I saw real, lasting results did I even consider sharing them with others.
The Name Behind The Story
Some of you might remember when we were called Surabhi Naturals. When I found out I could not trademark that name, I was devastated and almost gave up. But I believe every path has its own destiny. I chose the name Surabhidasha because in Sanskrit, 'Dasha' means phase or destiny. It is a reminder that setbacks are often just redirections toward something more meaningful.
Why I Still Make Every Batch
Even as we have grown, I refuse to move to mass production. Everything is handmade in small batches. This ensures that what you receive is fresh and potent, not something that has been sitting on a warehouse shelf for months. We avoid parabens, sulphates, and silicones entirely. If you have been hesitant about switching to natural skincare because you are worried about breakouts or reactions, please know that I have been exactly where you are.

I was truly humbled to receive the Women in Business Brand Award in 2023. It was an honor, but for me, it is not about the trophy. It is validation that the simple, honest approach of returning to our roots is exactly what our skin needs.
