Exploring the wilder side of my work, from the patience of macro photography to our adventures on the road with my dogs.

A macro video showcasing a Blue-banded Bee in Mumbai. It's amazing to see the intricate details of this tiny creature as it interacts with leaves and flowers, a reminder that wildlife is all around us.

A personal glimpse into our adventures hiking to Yana Caves near Gokarna with our dogs, Jiraiya and Jeannie. This shows how we blend our love for travel, nature, and our furry family members.

Here I am in my element, spotting birds in Chopta with my German Shepherd, Jiraiya, by my side. It's a perfect example of how my passion for photography is intertwined with my life's adventures.

Taking a relaxed moment during a weekend getaway at a farmstay in Kamshet. My camera and telephoto lens are always ready on the tripod, just in case a birding opportunity arises.

About More Wildlife & Behind the Scenes

Getting that shot of a Blue-banded Bee or finding the perfect frame in the Yana Caves is rarely about the camera settings alone. It is about being in the right place at the right time with the right gear, like my 200-500mm lens, and waiting for the subject to trust that I am not a threat. Whether it is high-altitude birding in Chopta or a monsoon morning in Mumbai, it is all about blending into the environment so the wildlife stays natural.

People often see the final image, the bird mid-flight or the beetle on a leaf, but the real story happens in the hours of waiting that come before. My approach is simple: I pack light, move slow, and stay patient.

For macro photography, like the Blue-banded Bee shots, I am often lying on the ground, waiting for the light to hit the subject just right. It is physically demanding, but it allows me to capture textures you simply do not see with a standard lens.

When we are out on a road trip, like our hikes in the Yana Caves or the treks in Chopta, the challenge shifts. I am not just managing my gear; I am navigating terrain, monitoring the weather, and keeping an eye on our dogs, Jiraiya and Jeannie. They are part of the team, and they have taught me that you cannot force nature to perform. You have to be ready to pivot.

If you are looking for someone to capture the raw, untamed moments of your own wildlife excursion, I bring that same off-grid mindset. I do not set up studio-style poses. I document the adventure as it happens, whether we are trekking through the Western Ghats, spotting raptors in Mumbai wetlands, or camping in the Himalayas. I handle the technical logistics, from exposure bracketing for landscapes to boat stabilization for pelagic trips, so you can focus on the experience itself.
