Behind the Scenes of My Mehendi Art
Step into my studio and see how I turn a simple cone of henna into intricate art. From the first line to the final dark stain, this is my process.
It brings me so much joy to see my clients happy. This video shows the entire process, from applying the fresh henna to the final look for a wedding event. Hearing her talk about my work makes all the effort worthwhile.
A kalakaar at work. This video shows me creating a delicate Mandala design with a lotus at its center and small floral patterns on the fingers.
There's something special about sipping warm chai while getting mehendi done. It's a moment of peace and tradition, and I love creating that experience for my clients.
Double your Diwali joy with mehendi from Sukanya. This client wanted a special design with diyas and an akash kandil, and I was so happy to bring her festive vision to life at her home.
Passionate about what I do. Here I am, creating a custom baby shower mehendi, carefully drawing each detail to make it perfect for the mom-to-be. Every day is a new adventure.
A close-up of a peacock detail. It's all about the fine lines and shading to bring these beautiful birds to life in my henna art.

About Artistry in Action
My process is rooted in consultation, not just application. Whether we are discussing the placement of a Ganesha motif or the flow of an Arabic vine, I sketch out the layout first to ensure it fits your hand perfectly. And the secret to the deep color you see in my gallery? It is the clove steam treatment I apply the moment your henna is dry, locking in the natural stain before you even wash it off.
As a 'kalakaar' (artist), I believe my job goes beyond drawing lines. When I visit your home in Pune or the Mumbai area, I am looking to understand the story you want your hands to tell. My process is designed to be as stress-free as it is artistic:
My Approach to Henna
- Natural Ingredients Only: I strictly avoid chemical-laden cones. I use fresh, natural henna paste. This is not just about safety; it is about achieving that rich, dark maroon stain that signifies the 'aajche kasht' (today's hard work) I put into every design.
- Collaborative Design: I do not believe in cookie-cutter patterns. Before I start, we sit down to discuss the theme. If you want a portrait of your partner, a skyline, or symbols of your hobbies like a motorcycle or book, I weave those into the intricate Jharokha or Dubai-style patterns.
- The Clove Steam Ritual: This is my signature technique. Once the design is set, I use a specific clove steam method to darken the henna. It is a traditional trick that makes a visible difference in the depth of the color.
Why Book a Home Service?
Mehendi application is a long process, especially for bridal or elbow-length work. Doing it at home lets you relax, sip chai, and be comfortable while I and my team work on the details. Whether you are prepping for a wedding, a baby shower, or a festival like Karvachauth, my focus remains the same: a beautiful, durable design that you can show off for days. If you have a specific vision or a complex story to tell through your henna, let's talk and sketch it out.
