Why Choose Arabic or Mandala?
Arabic mehendi is famous for its open space and flowing patterns. It’s perfect if you want a look that feels 'put together' without being heavy. I often draw these vines to follow the natural contours of your hand, which makes the henna look like an elegant accessory or a hand chain.
Mandala art, on the other hand, is all about the center. It’s a bold, symmetrical statement piece that draws the eye. If you are attending a friend's Sangeet, a Diwali party, or a small family function here in Pune, a Mandala design is usually the fastest to apply and the most striking to look at.
My Approach
I treat these as modern art. I don't use cookie-cutter stencils. Even for a simple Mandala, I free-hand the details so the circle is perfectly balanced. For Arabic designs, I focus on the 'flow'—making sure the vines look like they are dancing across your hand.
Since I’m based in Kondhwa and travel across the Pune area, I often get requests for these styles for office parties, college events, and weekend festivities. Because these designs are lighter on coverage, the application time is much shorter, usually under an hour, making them ideal if you have a busy schedule but still want that festive henna look.
