This Black Forest cake soap is one of my all time favorites to make and it looks so realistic. Each slice has layers of "chocolate cake" and "cream", topped with a soap cherry. Just remember, it's for washing, not eating.

It takes patience to get these designs looking right. Because I hand-pipe every single 'frosting' and place each topping individually, no two pieces are identical. If you are ordering these for a wedding or event, please remember that the cold process method needs 30-45 days to cure properly, so we should start planning well in advance.
While these soaps resemble Black Forest cakes or cupcakes, they are fully functional, skin-loving products formulated with the same high-quality plant oils as my standard bars. My goal is to bridge the gap between playful aesthetics and effective skincare.
Making these is a lesson in precision. I use the cold process method, which means I have to manage the saponification process while ensuring the intricate visual details hold their shape. Creating the layers, piping the soap frosting, and crafting realistic berries or macarons requires specific timing and focus.
