Welcoming Entryways & Modern Foyer Designs
Your foyer is the first thing you see when you walk home. I design entryways that are not just transition zones, but a warm, beautiful hello every single day.
It’s corners like these that create a true sense of calm and belonging. This foyer isn’t just an entryway; it’s a warm embrace, with its hand-painted mural and elegant console table.
From technical drawing to reality. This video shows how we transformed a foyer with a custom curved shoe console, inverted fluted arches, and statement wallpaper to create a stunning welcome.
This beautiful foyer wall was hand-drawn by our in-house mural artist. We also created a hidden mudroom for shoe storage and used jute paneling on the ceiling for an earthy, warm look.
A well-thought-out foyer can make a living room feel more expansive. Here, we used light-toned furniture, curved details, and a beautiful blue and white wallpaper to create a light and airy entrance.
This image shows the view from the entryway, where a rattan and wood arch perfectly frames the stunning marble mandir, creating a sense of harmony and flow from the moment you enter.
Sometimes, design is about leaving space to breathe. We intentionally left this nook near the foyer open, allowing our clients the freedom to use it as they wish, whether for a plant, an armchair, or nothing at all.

We split the foyer storage into two units. This one features a sleek console table with an arched mirror, which is both practical and makes the space look much bigger.

Step into elegance with our latest foyer design. A monochromatic floor, graceful arches, and chic fluted wallpaper create a seamless blend of modern sophistication and classic charm.
About Welcoming Entryways & Foyers
I often notice clients struggling with bulky electrical panels or scattered footwear right at the entrance. In my designs, I hide this clutter behind custom fluted paneling or integrated hidden doors. We turn what used to be a messy dumping ground into a clean, seamless wall that holds all your storage while looking like a piece of art.
The foyer sets the mood for your entire home. It is where you leave the chaos of the outside world behind and find your 'Sukoon' (peace).
Designing for Purpose
A well-planned entry does two things: it greets you with warmth and it works hard to keep your home organized. My approach is to avoid the 'clutter trap' where shoes, keys, and mail end up piled on the floor. I love designing custom consoles with built-in shoe storage, or carving out a dedicated mudroom area. In one of our recent projects, we actually broke a wall to create an invisible door that hides an entire mudroom setup, keeping the main foyer area completely clean and minimalist.
Making it Personal
Your entryway should tell a story. I believe in using elements that reflect your roots and personality. This could be a hand-painted mural created by our in-house artist, or simply a gallery wall featuring photos of your ancestral home. We often use archways to frame the view into the living room, which naturally directs the eye and makes the space feel more open.
Elements I Use
- Lighting: A pendant light or chandelier that acts as a focal point.
- Textures: Jute paneling for warmth or fluted glass for a touch of modern sophistication.
- Mirrors: Strategically placed to bounce light and make the foyer feel more expansive.
- Art: Murals or framed memories that greet you the moment you step through the door.
Whether you have a large open area or a compact corner, there is a design solution that makes it functional and beautiful.
