When I take on a commission, we start with your story, not a catalogue. Whether it is a sgraffito plate capturing a pet's personality or ceramic tiles preserving the texture of a cherished dupatta, my process is entirely tactile and hand-built. I do not use wheels, which means every piece has that gentle, irregular finish, the mark of something truly handmade.

My commission work is rare because it is deeply personal. It is not about mass production, but about slowing down to understand what makes a gift truly meaningful. When we discuss a custom piece, we look for the details, the way a pet sits, a specific symbol of a shared hobby, or the pattern of a piece of fabric.

I primarily use hand-building techniques like pinching, slab-rolling, and sgraffito. Sgraffito is particularly beautiful for storytelling. By scratching designs through layers of clay, I can create intricate silhouettes that literally carve your narrative into the surface. Since I fire and glaze everything in-house in my Powai studio, I maintain complete control over the finish, ensuring your piece is food-safe and durable.

Commissioned work takes time because it is a collaboration. We discuss the concept, I refine the design, and then the clay goes through the slow, necessary stages of drying, bisque firing, glazing, and a final high-temperature fire. This process usually takes a few weeks, so it is best to plan ahead if you have a specific date in mind. Whether it is a birthday, anniversary, or a simple act of remembrance, I am here to help you translate a fleeting memory into something permanent, tangible, and uniquely yours.
