Go beyond the flat canvas. Learn to sculpt with modeling paste and fabric to create unique, high-texture pieces that bring your walls to life.

This graphic for my Texture Art Workshop shows the beautiful floral designs you can create using modeling paste. It’s a fun, hands-on class where you learn to build up layers and sculpt petals to make your art pop.

Want to try Texture Art? This video gives you a peek into the process, starting with applying the base coat to a large canvas. I share simple tricks to help you get started with this beautiful and modern art form.

A teaser for my 3D Texture Art Workshop, showing a finished piece with elegant drapes and a central pearl. This workshop is all about creating depth and shadow using fabric and paste for a sculptural effect.

A behind-the-scenes look at preparing a large canvas for fabric texture art. Here, I'm using cellophane to create an interesting base texture before applying the main fabric, a simple trick for adding more depth.

It looks simple until you try it. This video shows the process of sculpting fabric on a canvas to create a beautiful, flowing texture. It requires patience, but the final result is a stunning piece of minimalist art.

Meditative hours in just seven seconds. This satisfying clip shows a palette knife creating smooth, textured flower petals on a canvas. It’s a calming process that I teach in my floral texture art workshops.

You paused here, didn't you? The repetitive, satisfying motion of creating textured patterns with a piping cone is incredibly therapeutic. This is a technique we explore in my 3D texture art classes.

About this collection

You don't need to be an artist to create decor that adds real depth to your home. In these sessions, we trade fine brushwork for palette knives, specialized texture combs, and modeling paste to build tangible, sculptural designs that anyone can master regardless of experience level.

Most people who walk into my Bellandur studio tell me, 'I can't even draw a stick figure.' That is exactly the person I love teaching. Texture art is incredibly forgiving because the art is in the process of building layers, not in drawing precise lines. It is the perfect creative outlet if you want to switch off from your screen and make something with your hands.

Here is how we approach these sessions:

  • Sculptural Arch Art: We use heavy body acrylics and modeling paste to create those elegant, minimalist arches that fit perfectly into any home.
  • Fabric Manipulation: This is a favourite. We drape fabric onto canvas and coat it with texture paste to create soft, flowing 3D forms that look complex but are surprisingly intuitive to assemble.
  • 3D Moon Lamps: You don't just hang this; you turn it on. We create a cratered, moon-like surface that glows, perfect for bedside decor.

All materials—from the palette knives to the specialized texture combs—are provided. You just show up ready to create. Whether you are coming in to destress, find a unique date idea, or just want to learn how to make a piece that feels like a professional designer project, this is the place to start. If you are in Bengaluru and want to explore this, send me a message and let's get painting.

I'm Priyanka, and my studio is where we turn messy, tactile experiments into art. I believe art should be a break from your day, not another task—so come as you are, we'll make a mess, and you'll leave with something that feels like 'you'.
