About Interior Design
We see interior design as a journey, not just a service. Every space we shape is about finding calm, letting materials speak, and making the most of natural light. Our approach is rooted in Wabi-Sabi and Zen - we like things simple, imperfect, and real.
How We Work
- We’re hands-on, always. You’ll find us building physical models, testing ideas with on-site mockups, and working closely with artisans. It’s not just about drawings or screens - we want to feel the space before it’s built.
- Our process is iterative. We sketch, prototype, and refine, often right there on-site. Sometimes it gets messy, but that’s how the best ideas come out.
Materials We Love
- Wood, rattan, OSB - these bring warmth and texture, whether it’s wall panels or custom furniture.
- Terrazzo and marble - we use these for custom flooring, sinks, and even art installations made from broken slabs.
- Concrete and brick - we often leave them exposed, letting their raw character set the mood.
Spaces We Create
- Minimalist home interiors: Open, light-filled, with big glass panes and arches to blend inside and out.
- Workspace design solutions: Offices that feel inspiring, from micro-offices with bold contrasts to larger spaces built around greenery.
Details Matter
Custom furniture design is a big part of what we do. From massive oak tables to unique pendant lights and handcrafted hardware, every piece is designed to fit the space perfectly.

My Story
Hey, we’re Studio HKAD. Our studio’s got this green courtyard - it’s not just a pretty spot, it’s where we breathe and think. We’re a bit old-school, always making models with our hands, figuring out how light falls, how spaces feel. There was this project in Himachal, felt like meditation just to get started, but seeing it blend into the mountains? Magic. We also hang out at colleges, keeps us sharp and connected.
My Work
What we do - We design architecture, interiors, and furniture for homes, offices, schools, and retreats.
Our way of working - We love contextual architecture design, minimal interior design, and blending buildings with the landscape.
Materials we use - We play with rammed earth construction, exposed concrete, brick, rattan, and steel - honest, raw stuff.
Hands-on process - Every project starts with handmade architectural models. We’re there, from the spark to the final nail.
