We believe ceilings should do more than just exist. By swapping concrete for terracotta, clay pots, and bamboo, we build roofs that breathe, cool your home, and tell a story from the moment you look up.

This brick dome is a signature example of our 'True Ceiling' work. The intricate radial pattern is not just decorative; it's a structural slab that showcases the beauty of exposed brick and provides excellent insulation.

Here, we used woven bamboo baskets as the filler material in the ceiling slab. This sustainable technique leaves a unique, textured imprint on the ceiling, adding geometric beauty and celebrating natural, local craft.

We find beauty in reuse. This ceiling features a mosaic made from broken terracotta tiles, creating a visually stunning pattern while upcycling materials that would otherwise be wasted. The design includes a brick dome for a fan.

We flipped the roof! This filler slab ceiling uses terracotta ridge tiles, typically found on a sloping roof, to create a unique vaulted effect. This technique provides passive cooling and adds a distinctive architectural character to the room.

Clay pots on spot, ready for the concrete pour. This image shows the construction process of a filler slab, where terracotta pots are used to displace concrete, making the roof lighter and more insulating.

This vaulted roof combines a curved form with panels of exposed clay blocks. The design adds volume and a sense of grandeur to the space, while the materials contribute to the room's thermal comfort.

A closer look at a roof overhang reveals a ceiling crafted from broken clay tiles. This upcycling method creates a beautiful mosaic texture, demonstrating our commitment to finding creative, sustainable solutions in every detail.

This image shows a filler slab with hollow clay blocks being constructed. This method is central to our sustainable design, as it significantly reduces the amount of concrete needed and enhances the building's natural insulation.

Capturing the beauty of the construction process. This image shows the gracefully curved concrete formwork and exposed filler slabs of a building in progress, revealing the organic geometry that defines our architectural style.

About The True Ceiling: Innovative & Sustainable Roofs

Getting a filler slab roof isn't just about aesthetics; it is a structural decision that directly affects your home’s temperature. We use terracotta pots and hollow blocks to reduce the concrete volume by up to 30 percent, which naturally keeps interiors cooler even in the peak Bengaluru summer. If you are worried about the weight or durability, we design these slabs to be load-bearing, safe, and significantly more efficient than standard solid concrete roofs.
