Heritage & Traditional Stone Murals
I bring tales of culture and spirituality to life through stone. From temple replicas and sacred deities to motifs inspired by India's rich heritage, let's create a legacy on your walls.
A grand, triple-height wall mural hand-carved in Diana marble, replicating an 18th-century Roman temple illustration. The integrated lighting enhances the classical columns and staircases, creating a legacy in stone.
This large 6x3 feet panel showcases a fusion of red and yellow Jaisalmer sandstone, inspired by Mughal architecture. The detailed elephant figure creates a powerful 3D effect perfect for an entrance.
A detailed replica of the Kedarnath Temple, carved in white marble for a client's puja space. Every architectural detail, from the shikhara to the mandapa, was carefully recreated and enhanced with custom lighting.
For the SambarPot restaurant in Delhi, I designed this feature wall to reflect South Indian heritage. The intricate stone temple carving acts as a cultural landmark within the space.
This entire exterior facade is inspired by ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs. I created a mosaic-style wall with 2D engraved stone strips and a central 3D mural of an Egyptian deity, perfect for a unique terrace or landscape backdrop.
A night view of the Egyptian-inspired facade. The strategic lighting brings the hieroglyphs and the central mural to life, creating a dramatic and mysterious effect.
This art piece, inspired by the 'Ajrakh' block printing art from Gujarat, is carved on white marble with a rustic gold finish. The combination of traditional motifs with a white and gold palette creates a super elegant highlighter panel.
An intricately carved European-style door panel. The fine details and symmetrical patterns showcase timeless craftsmanship, turning a simple wall into a statement of heritage and art.
Presenting a larger, more intricate version of the European art form panel at an exhibition. This piece is carved on 30mm thick stone and can be customized for different sizes and applications.
This intricately carved door panel, resembling fine embroidery, was a challenging piece created for the India Design exhibition. The natural split texture at the bottom was achieved after several trials to get the perfect rustic effect.
About Heritage & Traditional Murals
When I recreate a temple panel or a deity, I don't just copy a photo. My team uses CNC for the initial layout to get the proportions perfect, but the actual 'life'—the depth, the expressions on a face, the texture of a lotus—is achieved through hours of manual hand-chiseling. This blend is what makes these murals look like they have stood for centuries, even in a modern living room.
Every stone tells a story, and I am here to carve yours. Whether it is a replica of a temple carving, a serene Buddha, or traditional motifs like the Ajrakh print, I work with high-quality Indian marble, sandstone, and granite to turn simple walls into a piece of history.
How I Approach Traditional Murals
- Depth and Detail: I don't believe in shallow etching. My murals are built for depth, often reaching 4 to 8 inches to catch the light and create natural shadows that bring the figure to life.
- The Finishing Touch: A heritage piece is defined by its finish. I use everything from rustic gold washes to antique textures, ensuring the stone feels timeless, not new or factory-made. If you want that 'old temple' feel, I work on the surface until it captures that specific rugged elegance.
- Lighting Matters: Even the most intricate carving disappears without light. I always advise on hidden strip lights or spotlights to accentuate the grooves and curves of the stone, turning your wall into the focal point of the house.
Customization & Process
I understand that every home has a different vibe. You can share a sketch, a photo from a temple you visited, or even a specific cultural motif you love.
- Design: We start by sketching out the scene to fit your specific wall dimensions.
- 3D Preview: You get a 3D view so you know exactly what the finished mural will look like before I touch the stone.
- Crafting: We combine the precision of CNC machines with the soul of hand-chiseling to deliver a piece that feels authentic.
Whether it is for a puja room, an entrance lobby, or a garden feature, these murals are built to last for generations. Maintenance is simple—just clean with a soft cloth. No heavy chemicals needed.
Stoneartwala
I’m Abhishek, but you can call me Stoneartwala. I left the 9-to-5 life because I believe stone deserves more than just being a floor or a wall. Whether it’s a religious mural for your puja space or a heritage panel for the entrance, I treat every piece like a legacy.
