About Learn The Styles: From OldSchool to House
You want to learn how to move, not just mimic a video. In my classes, we spend the first twenty minutes of every session on foundational groove drills before we even touch a routine. You will sweat, you will feel the music, and you will learn the technique behind the bounce, whether it is OldSchool HipHop, House, or Locking.
Building Your Foundation
I have been building the street dance scene in Bangalore since 2001. When you walk into my studio in Koramangala, HSR, or Indiranagar, do not expect a dance fitness class. Expect to learn the history, the musicality, and the technical control that makes street dance an art form.
What We Cover
- OldSchool HipHop: It is all about the bounce and the attitude. We break down the basics so you stop guessing and start dancing.
- House Dance: This is about footwork and feeling the club groove. We focus on the connection between your feet and the floor.
- TopRock & C-Walk: Precision is key here. You will learn the mechanics behind the footwork to make your flow look effortless.
The Method
We do not just teach moves. We use the F.I.R.E. (Freestyle Interpretation and Rhythmic Exploration) method. This is how you stop being a robot and start having a conversation with the music. My goal is to ensure that even if you walk in as a complete beginner, you leave with the confidence to freestyle and find your own groove.
Classes are grouped into manageable batches of 15 to 25 students, ensuring I can actually see what you are doing and give you the correction you need. No shortcuts, just consistent practice.
