Master Hip-Hop Foundations in Bengaluru
Forget the shortcuts. We go back to the roots—learning the bounce, the rock, and the foundational footwork that actually lets you own the cypher.
This is tutorial 7, breaking down the 'Bow and Arrow'. It's a classic Hip-Hop party move that's easy to learn but looks sick. My bro learned it in less than 25 seconds, what's your excuse?
Here's tutorial 9, showing a simple Hip-Hop groove. I'm teaching one of my younger students, proving that anyone can learn to dance with a bit of guidance.
Running a Toprock drill with one of my favorite students. Toprock is the foundation of B-boying and a key element of Hip-Hop dance.
Dropping the beat and letting the moves flow. A quick Hip-Hop freestyle session outdoors, just catching the vibe of the day.
Homies on palti fire. Vibing to some Marathi rap, this routine shows how we blend regional sounds with raw Hip-Hop choreography.
Just trying to calm down with some smooth Hip-Hop moves. This is a freestyle session, playing with the rhythm and finding my groove in the studio.
About Hip-Hop Foundations
We don't just teach steps here. I focus on breaking down the mechanics—the bounce, the rock, and the footwork—so you aren't just copying what I do. You will walk away understanding the 'why' behind the move, whether it's a basic Toprock drill or a classic party groove. It is disciplined, repetitive, and real.
Hip-Hop isn't just about the flash on screen; it's about the foundation. If you can't hold a groove or execute a clean Toprock, the rest doesn't matter. In these classes, we strip away the performance pressure and get down to business.
The Curriculum
We cover the building blocks that make a dancer, not just a performer. Expect to spend time on:
- Party Grooves: Learning to catch the beat and move naturally without overthinking it.
- Toprock Fundamentals: The roots of B-boying that build your rhythm and flow.
- The Cypher Culture: We dedicate time in every session to freestyle in a circle. This is where you learn to let go, build confidence, and actually interact with the music rather than just following a count.
Why This Approach
Whether you are training at our RT Nagar studio or attending a pop-up session, the goal is the same: to get you comfortable in your own skin. I keep the groups small because I need to see your angles and correct your posture. We aren't doing 50-person generic classes where you get lost in the back.
This is about building your own style from the ground up. If you are ready to put in the hours, drill the basics until they are second nature, and get sweaty, this is where you belong.
