Vocal Showcase: Covers and Collaborations
I love taking songs that inspire me and making them my own. Explore my musical playground, where I experiment with jazz, soul, and indie sounds through covers and artist collaborations.
Trying to keep up with a crazy scat solo in the jazz standard 'Four'. This was a huge vocal challenge but so much fun to work on. It’s a great example of the technical jazz singing I love to do.
A simple cover of 'Best Part' by Daniel Caesar and H.E.R. This song has such a beautiful R&B and soul vibe, which is a style I connect with deeply and love to sing for session work.
Here I am covering Sid Sriram's 'Brother' with the amazing Zion Mathew on keys. This song is all about the feels, blending soul, blues, and even Carnatic influences, showcasing my ability to deliver emotionally rich vocal performances.
I couldn't resist doing a duet on this beautiful Bollywood song, 'Khwabon Ke Parindey'. This shows my comfort with singing in Hindi and adapting to a breezy, bossa nova style, perfect for ads or film.
Here's my take on Billie Eilish's 'What I Was Made For'. I used this song to explore softer, whispery, and husky vocal tones, which are great for creating intimacy and emotion in a track.
Another beautiful song by Billie Eilish, 'My Future', on the piano. This cover demonstrates my ability to deliver a gentle, jazzy vocal performance that is perfect for more mellow and atmospheric tracks.
A simple acoustic cover of 'Man Like You' by Patrick Watson. This highlights my work in the indie-folk genre, using just my voice and a guitar to create a heartfelt performance.
This is a stripped-down cover of 'Watch Out' by Komorebi. It's an example of how I can collaborate with other indie artists and contribute vocals that complement their unique electronic or alternative sound.
A split-screen duet of the song 'Just As Easily'. This is a great example of a remote vocal collaboration, where I can add harmonies and lead vocals to another artist's track from my own setup.
About Vocal Showcase: Covers & Collaborations
Ever wonder how those clean, complex harmonies actually come together? For a recent jazz scat challenge, I spent 56 takes just to get the flow right. Whether it's remote collaborations or studio sessions, I focus on the 'feel' first, then stack those layers until the track sounds exactly right. Let's make your song sound fuller.
When I'm in the studio or recording remotely, my priority is the emotional core of the track. It’s not just about hitting the notes perfectly; it's about making sure the vocals feel alive.
Whether we're working on Jazz, R&B, or Indie-folk, I use vocal comping to stitch together the best takes, ensuring the final output is tight but soulful. For harmony work, I often use quad-stacks to get that 'wall of sound' width that really makes a chorus pop.
If you're in Mumbai or Pune, we can head to the studio, but I’m also fully set up for remote collaboration. I've done split-screen duets, session vocals for ad jingles, and indie song features, all from my own setup. If you're looking for someone to help with vocal arrangements, harmonies, or a unique lead performance, just reach out. I love experimenting with whispery, husky tones or belting it out, depending on what your song needs. Cheggit!
