A two-day immersive journey at Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary designed to help you slow down, read the light, and capture the true soul of nature.

The "Sense the Light" workshop is my signature creative photography experience. This poster, featuring a pelican taking flight in the golden hour, captures the essence of what we aim to achieve together over two days in Ranganathittu.

As an award-winning photographer and your guide, I am here to help you make images that matter. My approach is to inspire you to see the world differently and find your unique creative voice.

We learn to see differently, to understand how light reflects and refracts to create magic that is rarely visible to the normal eye. This image of a pelican and its reflection embodies this principle of looking deeper.

You will learn the practical knowledge needed for great bird photography. This includes techniques for capturing birds in flight, tips for composing powerful portraits, and understanding bird behavior to anticipate the perfect shot.

The core of the workshop is being aware. We engage in hands-on practice sessions in the field, learning to sense our surroundings and connect with fellow enthusiasts, as shown by this intense moment of a crocodile catching its meal.

My goal is to help you take your photography to the next level. This workshop is a dedicated opportunity to elevate your skills and capture the beauty of nature together, creating dramatic images like this eagle securing its catch.

All logistics are taken care of so you can focus on making images. The workshop includes your stay at a comfortable resort in Ranganathittu, breakfast, two boat rides for water-level perspectives, and transportation from Bangalore and back.

The most important thing to bring is your smile and a willingness to learn. This list covers the essential gear, including your camera, lenses, and comfortable clothing, so you are fully prepared for our two days in the field.

My expertise is recognized by publications like Mid-Day, where I contribute to articles on wildlife. This credibility ensures you are learning from a seasoned professional who is active and respected in the field.

About The "Sense the Light" Workshop Experience

Instead of focusing only on technical camera settings, we spend our two days at Ranganathittu becoming part of the environment. You will join me for boat-based field practice where we learn to anticipate bird behavior from water level, master the golden hour light, and practice the patience required to capture authentic action sequences.
