Join My Wildlife Photography Expeditions
I have spent 25 years in the wild, from the African savannahs to the rain-soaked Western Ghats. My tours are about understanding the creature and waiting for the right moment.
A look at my scouting expedition to the incredible Kamchatka peninsula in Russia. After a thorough recce, I've designed the perfect itinerary to see bears, orcas, and stunning landscapes, starting in 2025.
A thank you to everyone who joined my summer camps and photo tours in 2022. This video is a compilation of the fun we had and the amazing wildlife we saw, from Africa to the Anaimalais.
Here I am in the field, doing what I love most. As a ZEISS Nature Influencer, I rely on the best equipment, like these binoculars, to spot wildlife for my tour groups.
Scanning the horizon at sunset. A huge part of my job is not just photography, but patiently watching and waiting, understanding the environment to predict where the animals will be.
About Behind the Lens: Join My Photo Expeditions
I cap my photography trips at just four people per vehicle, because you cannot learn professional-grade wildlife photography in a crowd. We prioritize field time over checklists, meaning we often stay out for full-day drives to maximize your chances of capturing specific behaviors, rather than rushing back to the lodge for a standard lunch break.
My expeditions are not about ticking species off a list. We focus on the craft—understanding animal behavior, managing light, and predicting the action before it happens. On a standard weekend safari in Ranthambore or Kabini, we go beyond basic camera settings. We dive into histogram management, creative panning techniques for action sequences, and the nuances of environmental storytelling.
For specialized tours, like our upcoming Kamchatka bear expeditions, I spend months on research and recce trips to ensure we are in the right place at the right time. Whether it is tracking the Great Indian Hornbills in the Anaimalais or waiting for leopards in the Western Ghats, I want you to walk away with more than just a memory card full of photos. You will walk away with an understanding of the ecology, the patience required to wait for the light, and the technical skills to capture it.
I work with small groups to provide real, hands-on instruction in the field. This includes gear testing opportunities, such as trying out high-end Canon RF lenses or using ZEISS binoculars to spot subjects early. My goal is to get you out of the automatic mode mindset and into the shoes of a naturalist who happens to carry a camera. It is messy, it is tiring, and it is absolutely worth it.
