About Fine Art Portrait Photography
What I Do
Portraits with me are more than just photos - they’re a bit like a meditation. I’ve spent over 20 years learning how to tune into someone’s energy, guided by my guru, Shri Maitreya ji. I look for that spark inside you, not just your face. Sometimes, people tell me the whole session feels healing, even spiritual. It’s quiet, slow, and there’s no rushing or forced smiles. You might end up asking yourself, “Aakhir kya chahte ho?” (What do you truly desire, in the end?) while we work together.
My Style & Process
- I’m drawn to painterly portrait style, inspired by artists like Raja Ravi Varma.
- Use only ambient light photography, so no harsh flashes - just the mood the moment gives us.
- Black and white fine art is close to my heart. Monochrome brings out raw emotion and cuts out all distractions.
- I shoot with Fuji cameras, and I actually love the graininess when things get a bit noisy - it adds texture and character.
After our session, I don’t rush editing. I let the images sit for a week before coming back with fresh eyes. Only a few photos make the cut, and I spend hours (sometimes days) refining each one. The final print isn’t just a photo - it’s meant to be a ‘yantra’, something that guides and uplifts you.
Who This Is For
- Anyone exploring self-discovery or spiritual portrait session
- Families wanting heirlooms
- Artistic individual or pet portraits (yes, pets have their own vibe too)

My Story
School days in Jamshedpur, flipping Sanctuary Asia mags, I got hooked on nature's stories. Back then, it was all about chasing the perfect shot. Then my guru, Shri Maitreya Rudrabhayananda ji, flipped my whole view. Now, photography’s my meditation. I try to catch the energy, the soul – not just faces. Folks call my portraits ‘therapeutic photography’. In the wild, staring down a wolf or waiting for a darter, patience becomes life’s lesson. Seeing Navi Mumbai’s wetlands vanish stings. My camera’s my voice for them.
My Work
Photography & Filmmaking - I shoot wildlife, fine art, portraits, and make films. Also do baby, family, and candid shoots.
Therapeutic Portrait Photography - I connect with your energy, making each photo a yantra. It’s a spiritual, healing experience.
Wildlife Soul Photography - I wait, I watch, I capture the real spirit—tigers, flamingos, whatever nature shows.
Spiritual Photography Workshops - ‘Sense the Light’ workshops teach you to feel and see, not just click. It’s about awareness.
Conservation Filmmaking - My film ‘Chalo Chanakya’ fights for Navi Mumbai’s mangroves. Filmmaking is my seva to nature.
