Traditional Homemade Pickles: Fresh from My Kitchen
Welcome to my kitchen, where every bottle of achaar is a labour of love. I use my grandmother’s traditional Punjabi recipes, fresh ingredients, and plenty of patience to bring you flavours that feel just like home.
Here is a little peek at how I pack your orders. I use vacuum-sealed packs and sturdy boxes to make sure your pickles reach you safely without any leaks. Your achaar will arrive fresh and ready to eat.
A glimpse of my stall at a local market event. It makes me so happy to meet my customers in person. You can see my pickles and sweets displayed in glass jars and sealed packets.
Here you can see a large batch of my Aam ki Chutney simmering away. I cook it myself in a large pan to ensure the flavour is consistent and perfect every single time. The whole kitchen smells amazing.
About From My Kitchen to Yours
When you order, I don't just pack and ship. Every jar of achaar is vacuum-sealed in multi-layer silver pouches right here in my kitchen. This keeps your pickle leak-proof during transit and perfectly locks in that fresh, 'kacchi ghani' mustard oil aroma until it reaches your doorstep.
Making achaar is my happy place. It’s not just about tossing spices in oil—it’s about bringing a piece of my childhood to your table. When the masalas roast and the kitchen smells just right, I know I’ve done it properly.
Why my pickles taste different
- No shortcuts: Every batch is handmade by me. No artificial preservatives, no vinegar, and nothing your nani (grandmother) wouldn’t use.
- The 'Latpata' texture: I prefer a rich, spice-coated consistency rather than letting the vegetables float in excess oil. You get more flavour in every spoonful.
- Pure ingredients: I strictly use 100% Kacchi Ghani mustard oil, which I heat and cool before adding my freshly ground fennel, methi, and kalonji mix.
My favourites from the jar
Whether you are a spice fan or prefer something khatta-meetha (sweet and sour), I have something for you:
- Mango Lovers: Classic Punjabi mango, Aam-Chana, and tangy Aam ki chutney.
- Winter Heroes: My Gajar Gobhi Shalgam is a seasonal favourite that captures the best of the harvest.
- The Teekha Kick: For those who want a real zing, my Bharwa Mirch and Kathal ka Achaar are prepared with an emphasis on Amchur and Rai for that sharp, authentic punch.
Everything I make is packed tight to travel safely anywhere in India. If you have any specific requests or want to know what’s currently brewing in my kitchen, just say hello.
