- Spices: Freshly ground fennel (saunf), fenugreek (methi), and nigella seeds (kalonji).
- Preservation: Naturally preserved using salt and turmeric; zero artificial preservatives.

Premium Specialty Batches
The Collection
- Bharwa Mirch: Choice of Red Banarsi or Green chillies, slit and hand-stuffed individually with dry spice mix.
- Kathal (Jackfruit): Meaty chunks, deep-fried or extensively sun-dried for a chewy, rich texture.
- Aam Chana: A unique regional specialty combining raw mango and soaked chickpeas.
Taste & Texture
- Flavor Profile: Sharp, tangy, and spicy (Teekha) with a heavy emphasis on Amchur (dry mango powder) and Rai (mustard seeds).
- Oil Content: Higher oil usage compared to staples to ensure preservation of complex ingredients like jackfruit.
Storage & Usage
- Packaging: Securely vacuum-packed in leak-proof pouches.
- Consumption: Intense flavor profile; best savored in small quantities.
- Care: Strictly moisture-free usage (dry spoon only) required.
Handcrafted Sweet Chutneys
The Preserves
- Aam Ki Chutney: Grated raw mango cooked down to a soft, jam-like relish.
- Amla Gud: Gooseberry slow-cooked with jaggery, known for winter immunity.
Ingredients
- Sweeteners: Primarily Jaggery (Gud) for a rich caramel note, or sugar blends.
- Spice Blend: Warm notes of Cardamom, Black Pepper, Cumin, and Black Salt.
- Purity: Zero oil and no synthetic vinegar; acidity comes naturally from the fruit.
Best Paired With
- Usage: Spreads easily on parathas, toast, or mathris.
- Shelf Life: Long-lasting natural preservation due to high sugar/jaggery concentration.
About Homemade Indian Pickles
Ghar Ka Achaar, Straight from My Kitchen
Making achaar is my happy place - it’s not just about spices, it’s about bringing a piece of my childhood to your table. I stick to old-school, traditional Punjabi pickle recipes, the kind my dadi (grandmother) handed down. When the masalas roast and the kitchen smells just right, I know I’ve done it properly.
Why My Pickles Hit Different
- Each batch is handmade by me – no shortcuts, just loads of care.
- I use only real, fresh ingredients. No artificial stuff, no vinegar, nothing your nani (grandma) wouldn’t use.
- Less oil, more flavour. You won’t get that greasy layer – just the real achaar taste.
- All the recipes are what we eat at home, not restaurant-style or mass-market.
Pickle Varieties – Something for Everyone
- Mango lovers: classic Punjabi mango, aam-chana, ambi hari mirchi, and aam ki chutney for that sweet-sour punch.
- For the spice fans: bharwa mirch, gud ki mirch, and mirchi lehsun. Teekha, but not just for show.
- Sweet & sour: nimbu-galgal, gajar gobhi shalgam (the winter hero), kathal ka achaar, and amla gud ki chutney.
What to Expect
Everything comes packed tight, no leaky mess, in glass or vacuum packs. Your pickle will taste just like it does at my table – pure, homely, and proper North Indian.

My Story
Hi, I’m Poonam. Spoonalicious is just me, my kitchen, and a whole lot of desi ghee! Milo, my beagle, keeps me company while I block print or dream up new sweets. Life’s busy, but every ladoo and achaar I make is a bit of my heart. Blessed and tired, but happy!
