Homemade Green Chutney Recipe
Cooking is how I share love, and I believe in keeping it simple and real. Here is a favourite from my kitchen diary to yours.
This is a fresh, 'dardari' or coarsely ground green chutney I made. It is full of flavour from coriander, mint, green garlic, and chilies. I have shared the full recipe in the original post for you to try.
All the fresh ingredients that go into my green chutney. You can see the fresh pudina, green chilies, and garlic cloves. Using fresh ingredients is the key to its amazing taste.
About Bonus Recipes
The secret to a perfect green chutney is in the texture, what we call 'dardari' or coarsely ground. I never use a blender for too long, just a few quick pulses to keep the coriander and mint distinct and full of flavour.
When you are making this at home, fresh ingredients really do make all the difference. In winter, using green garlic is a game changer, as it adds a depth that dry garlic cannot replicate. I always pair it with small, tangy desi tomatoes because they provide that specific sour kick that regular tomatoes often miss. It is all about balance, the heat from the chillies, the zing from fresh lemon juice, and that earthy base of pudina.
I serve this with everything at home, from stuffed parathas to simple dal-chawal. It is the perfect accompaniment. Using fresh produce is not just a culinary choice, it is how you get that vibrant colour and punchy taste. I hope you try it and enjoy it as much as my family does.
