You have done the hard work of research. Now, learn the structured, ethical, and practical skills to communicate your findings effectively without the academic overwhelm.

As a researcher, I know the academic journey can feel overwhelming. That's why I started my workshops, to make scientific writing and publishing simpler and less stressful. This short video gives you a glimpse into what I do, how my sessions work, and my promise to you: real skills and confident writing.

I was honored to deliver an expert talk at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Delhi on one of my favorite topics: AI Assisted Scientific Writing and Publishing. My sessions focus on ethically using AI tools to enhance, not replace, your research and writing process.

My workshops are interactive and hands-on. Here, I'm explaining Simon Sinek's Golden Circle concept and how it applies to structuring a compelling research narrative during a session on crafting effective cover letters for journal submissions.

It's feedback like this that makes my day. My goal is to be more than just a lecturer; I aim to be a guide who makes complex information accessible. This testimonial from a participant at VIT, Vellore, perfectly captures the spirit of my workshops.

This 5-day online workshop is one of my most comprehensive programs. We do a deep dive into the entire process of writing and publishing an original research article, from literature review and IMRaD structure to handling reviewer comments.

The best part of my work is connecting with the academic community. This is a selfie with the wonderful faculty at Kongu Arts and Science College after a Faculty Development Program on deciphering manuscript writing. The energy and engagement in the room were fantastic.

This is me, taking a moment to reflect. While editing over 1500 manuscripts has its monotonous days, I truly love what I do. It's a privilege to get a first look at cutting-edge research and to have the flexibility to balance my work with the other things I love, like being a mom.

Writing an abstract is a critical skill. It's the first impression your manuscript makes. In this short clip, I break down the key elements of an effective abstract, explaining how to create a miniature, true version of your paper while adhering to journal guidelines.

About Featured

I do not believe in theory-heavy lectures. In every session, whether it is a 2-hour webinar or a 10-day intensive, you bring your own draft—your proposal, abstract, or manuscript—and we work on it in real-time. You leave the session not just with a certificate, but with actual sections of your paper refined, formatted, and ready for the next stage of submission.

Bridging the Gap Between Research and Publication

Academic writing often feels like a closed, intimidating door. My workshops are designed to pry that door open. Having juggled my own PhD, parenting, and building a venture, I know that researchers do not need more lectures; they need a process.

Why my approach is different

  • Active Learning: We do not watch slides; we write. If you are struggling with your abstract, we rewrite it during the session.
  • The 'Human Google' Approach: I focus on teaching you the tools—like Zotero, Mendeley, and ethical AI integration—that make the 'how' of writing faster, so you can focus on the 'what' of your research.
  • Real-World Application: From deciphering journal guidelines to handling reviewer comments, we address the bottlenecks that actually cause rejection.

What to expect in our sessions

Whether you are a master's student or a faculty member, my sessions break down the complexity of the IMRaD structure (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion) into actionable steps. We tackle common issues like:

  • Word Count Reduction: Learning to slash the fluff without losing the scientific meaning.
  • Journal Selection: Avoiding the 'predatory journal' trap and finding the right home for your paper.
  • AI Ethics: Using tools like ChatGPT to improve structure, not to bypass thinking.

My goal is to help you build a system where writing becomes a manageable habit rather than a sporadic, stressful event. You have the data and the findings; let's work on making sure the community sees them.

Hi, I am Sowmiya. I juggle a PhD, motherhood, and a full-time editing venture, so I know exactly why you are staring at that blinking cursor. I started these workshops because I wanted to make the publishing process feel less like a gate-kept maze and more like a skill you can actually master.
