Boutique Balcony Garden & Screening
Planters & Hardware
- Premium Vessels: 5 to 8 high-quality planters included per balcony. Materials include Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) for durability or glazed terracotta/stone-finish pots.
- Drainage System: Installation of drainage cells or gravel layering to prevent root rot.
The Plant Setup
- Dense Layering: Selection of 'Thriller' (height), 'Filler' (volume), and 'Spiller' (trailing) plants to create a wrap-around effect.
- Specimen Species: Usage of mature tropical varieties like Monsteras, Philodendrons (Xanadu/Ceylon Gold), Areca Palms, and ferns.
- Lightweight Mix: Custom bio-engineered potting mix (coco-peat, perlite, vermicompost) designed to reduce structural load.
Execution & Handover
- Layout: Strategic placement to screen service ducts or neighboring buildings.
- Logistics: Includes vertical haulage to apartment floor, material transport, and cleanup.
- Guide: Detailed care instructions for specific plant communities.
Dense Tropical Forest Landscaping
Soil & Foundation
- Deep Amendment: Extensive turning of existing earth, removal of debris, and enrichment with organic compost, neem cake, and river sand.
- Grading: Contouring land to ensure proper water runoff away from structures.
High-Density Softscape
- 3-Layer System: Planting density of 3 to 4 plants per sq ft. Includes Canopy (Traveller's Palms), Body (Heliconias/Alocasias), and Ground Cover.
- Biodiversity: Use of diverse polycultures rather than single-species rows to ensure pest resilience and an 'instant jungle' look.
Hardscape & Finish
- Pathways: Installation of rough-cut granite stepping stones or natural stone pavers.
- Edging: Concealed separation barriers between garden beds and utility areas.
- Supervision: On-site direction by designers for plant placement.
Sculptural Rock & Gravel Garden
Base & Stone Work
- Weed Barrier: Installation of high-grade geotextile membrane to separate soil from stone and prevent weed growth.
- Stone Mulching: Heavy layering (4 to 6 inch depth) of decorative gravel, river pebbles, or crushed granite chips.
- Feature Boulders: Sourcing and placement of character-rich local rocks (granite/gneiss) to mimic natural outcrops.
Architectural Planting
- Specimen Plants: High-value, slow-growing sculptural plants placed sparsely. Includes varieties like Agave attenuata, Zamia (Cardboard Palm), and Euphorbia.
- Root Prep: Specialized sand-heavy planting pockets to ensure drainage for dry-loving species.
Design Elements
- Layout: Artistic arrangement focusing on balance and negative space.
- Lighting Prep: Installation of conduit pipes for future uplighter installation (hardware not included).

We like to call it “painting with plants.” My aim is to make your space feel calming, safe, and almost like a little private forest. I always pick the right plant for the right spot, thinking about light, climate, and soil before planting anything. Greentherapy, forestbathing - that’s the vibe I go for in every project.

- Lush tropical havens: Multi-layered, dense, and wild - think jungle, not manicured lawn. If you want a sustainable tropical garden design, this is our sweet spot.
- Dry & rock gardens: Inspired by namma Bangalore’s rocky areas, these are low-maintenance dry landscapes with gravel, stone, and hardy plants.
- Personal oasis: Backyards, poolside green sanctuaries, terrace or urban balcony garden ideas using pots and planters - we do it all, small or big.
Spaces Beyond Homes
We work with restaurants and cafes to wrap their spaces in green, cutting out noise and bringing in chill vibes. For offices, we create eco-friendly corporate gardens with playful seating nooks so people feel good at work.

My Story
We’re Sora Garden Design, bunch of species nerds who just love seeing land turn wild again. Not just plants - we build living communities, you know? Sometimes gardens take their own sweet time, but that’s the magic. Once, we helped someone recreate her childhood garden vibes in a new home. That’s the stuff that makes us grateful. For us, every garden is a slow, meditative adventure.
