Classic Contemporary Interior Design at The Crescendo House
The Crescendo House was built on a single premise: every room should hold a unique personality. This project blends traditional Indian craftsmanship with modern luxury, creating spaces that feel grand yet intensely personal.
The living room of Crescendo House, where each room was designed with a unique personality. This space features a custom reversible swing, luxurious marble, and rich wood paneling, creating a grand yet inviting atmosphere.
A view of the living room from the side, showing the reversible swing and its relationship to the TV wall. The design uses natural daylight to create a bright and airy feel, highlighting the mix of materials.
The living room features a soothing color palette with a plush blue sofa and a custom lounge chair. The space is designed to feel relaxed and structured, with classical wall mouldings adding a touch of elegance.
My forte is creating talked-about furniture like this reversible swing. Crafted from treated teak wood with a hand-waxed polish, its mauve upholstery and brass fixtures make it a sturdy and elegant centerpiece.
The dining area is separated from the living space by four elegant panels of wood, glass, and brass. This creates a sense of separation while maintaining the illusion of a larger, grander space.
A closer look at the dining area, featuring a custom table and chairs that blend wood, brass, and soft pink upholstery. The entire space is designed with intricate details to feel cohesive and luxurious.
This classic coffee table, with its unique marble top and sculptural wooden base, was custom-designed to complete the living room decor. It perfectly balances form and function.
The parent's bedroom was designed to have a vintage feel with zen wood vibes. The headboard combines wood, cane, and upholstery, set against a wall with horizontal bands of texture for a calm, nostalgic atmosphere.
A cozy study corner integrated into the parent's bedroom. The custom desk and chair, made from dark wood and cane, continue the room's vintage, natural aesthetic.
The master bedroom showcases sophistication with a mix of luxurious materials. A dramatic marble panel is flanked by diagonal wood paneling, with brass art and a leather-upholstered bed creating a rich, layered look.
About The Crescendo House: Classic Contemporary Luxury
For this project, we designed each room as a standalone experience, which meant coordinating multiple distinct styles without losing the home's cohesive thread. You will notice the living room’s reversible swing and the master bedroom’s fluted marble walls; these elements require precise structural planning and artisanal fabrication. When you plan a home where every corner has a different character, the challenge is not just aesthetics, but ensuring the lighting, material transitions, and furniture scales feel connected.
Designing a home where every room carries a different personality is a balancing act. In the Crescendo House, we did not just buy furniture; we manufactured each piece—from the reversible swing in the living room to the custom study desk in the kids' room—to ensure it fit the room's specific narrative.
The Living Area
We separated the living and dining zones using panels of wood, glass, and brass. This allowed us to keep the visual connection while providing structure. The reversible swing is not just for show; it is a functional piece we engineered to bridge the gap between traditional Indian seating and modern luxury standards.
Material Integrity
We relied on heavy textures—fluted marble, teakwood, and brass—to ground the space. For the master suite, we used diagonal wood paneling and leather upholstery to evoke a sense of calm. The powder room was an exercise in details, where we combined an arched backlit mirror with a pedestal basin to transform a utility space into something sculptural.
The Practical Reality
If you are looking to replicate this look, understand that luxury in this context means custom fabrication. Everything from the fluted marble walls to the PVD-coated metal partitions was detailed in-house. We do not work with off-the-shelf items. If you want this level of finish, be prepared for a longer design-development phase where we prototype the furniture before finalizing the build. This is not just about decoration; it is about the architecture of the space.
