Capturing Your Child and Pet Growing Up Together
Watching your children and pets grow side by side is a rare kind of magic. I help you freeze these moments of friendship, play, and quiet companionship in honest, candid photographs.
A beautiful family portrait in an orchard, featuring a happy couple with their twin babies and their first child, Snowy the Labrador, by their side.
A candid moment showing the sweet bond between a baby and a Pug, sitting side-by-side on a bed as siblings by choice.
A young boy shares a treat with his dog, who jumps up in excitement, capturing a moment of pure, playful interaction in a park.
A happy Raksha Bandhan portrait of a young boy with his two furry siblings, all dressed in matching bowties for the special occasion.
About this collection
Kids and pets rarely do 'sit and smile' on command, and that is exactly how we want it. During these sessions, I never use forced posing or studio lights. We meet at a park or your garden, let them run, play, and interact at their own pace, while I wait for those genuine, fleeting connections—the shared secret, the gentle cuddle, or the burst of laughter—to unfold naturally.
The transition from having a pet as your 'first baby' to bringing a human child into the mix is a profound life chapter. Many families I work with feel the same sense of wonder when they see their dog or cat patiently sitting by a baby's crib or running alongside their toddler in the yard. These are the moments that define your family history, and they deserve to be documented with the same care as any other milestone.
How We Make It Work
- No Performance Pressure: I do not believe in training pets for photos. If your dog is hyper, we run. If your cat is shy, we sit quietly. The best photos happen when everyone feels safe to be themselves.
- Natural Environments: We shoot in familiar outdoor spaces—local parks, beaches, or your own garden. Familiar surroundings help both the child and the pet stay relaxed, which leads to more authentic body language.
- The 'First Baby' Dynamic: I understand the unique protective bond senior pets often develop with new children. I prioritize capturing that watchful, gentle presence, ensuring your first companion is fully included in the narrative of your growing family.
Why This Matters
When you look back on these photos years from now, you will not care if the clothes were perfectly matched or if everyone was looking at the camera. You will want to remember the way your child felt when the dog licked their hand, or the quiet patience in your pet's eyes. My job is to ensure that when you see these images, you feel that same warmth all over again.
Sniff Stories
I am the person behind the lens who believes your pet is the heartbeat of your home. When I am not photographing your family, I am often watching my own dog play, completely mesmerized by the simple joy they bring. I treat every session like I am documenting my own family story.
