About Your Journey with Us
Your first visit is always about understanding your specific skin needs. We spend 20 minutes with a Wood's Lamp and dermoscopy to map the stability of your patches, ensuring we pick the right path—whether that is medical management with phototherapy or a surgical procedure like cell transplantation.
When you come to our clinic, we don't start with procedures; we start with a conversation. Vitiligo is often surrounded by myths—like it being contagious or diet-related—which we address immediately during our consultation. Our goal is to move past the worry and look at the science of your skin.
The Consultation Process
Every treatment plan begins with a 15 to 20-minute detailed assessment. We use specialized UV light inspection to define the extent of depigmentation, even the areas invisible to the naked eye. This helps us decide if your vitiligo is stable enough for surgical intervention or if it requires medical management first.
Mapping Your Recovery
We categorize your treatment based on your condition:
- Medical Management: For active patches, we offer NB-UVB phototherapy, which uses a 311nm wavelength to stimulate pigment return. It is safe, nurse-supervised, and effective even for children.
- Targeted Therapy: For stubborn spots on the face or hands, we combine micro-needling with 308nm Excimer laser shots.
- Surgical Options: For stable patches, we perform non-cultured melanocyte cell transplantation. This is a 4-hour surgical procedure where we process your own healthy skin cells and transplant them to the affected areas.
We provide a clear medical roadmap, including prescribed topical immunomodulators or oral antioxidants, so you know exactly what to expect. There are no quick fixes, just consistent, science-backed care tailored to your skin type.
