We focus on halting the spread first with medical management and light therapy, ensuring we don't waste your time or money on procedures that aren't ready for your skin yet.
Vitiligo isn't a one-size-fits-all condition, and the approach depends entirely on how stable the patches are. At my clinic in Dwarka, we move systematically to help restore skin color safely.
Our Treatment Approach
- Medical Management & Light Therapy: For many, the first step is managing the condition using medication combined with NB-UVB (Narrowband-UVB) light therapy. This is our baseline to control spread and encourage re-pigmentation.
- Excimer Laser: This is a high-precision, US-FDA approved technology. It delivers a specific wavelength of UVB light directly to the affected patches. It is excellent for stubborn, smaller areas where we want to stimulate pigment without affecting healthy skin.
- Surgical Procedures: We reserve surgery only for stable vitiligo—meaning there has been no change in the patches for at least six months. If your condition meets this criteria, we discuss surgical options to restore pigmentation.
