About Training & Educating Fellow Doctors
When I conduct workshops, I do not believe in standing at a podium for hours. My approach is hands-on and practical. Whether I am guiding a small group at my clinic or demonstrating techniques at a national conference, I focus on the technical details that actually matter for outcomes—from precise cell extraction steps to the correct application of collagen dressings. I want my colleagues to leave the session ready to perform these procedures with confidence.
My commitment to vitiligo care goes well beyond my own clinic. I firmly believe that the most effective way to tackle this condition is to ensure that medical practitioners across the country are equipped with the latest, scientifically-proven surgical techniques.
I regularly organize and participate in hands-on workshops where we move past theory and into the technicalities of procedures like non-cultured melanocyte cell transplantation (MCT). In these sessions, we cover essential skills including:
- Surgical Precision: Detailed demonstrations on how to process cells using Trypsin enzyme and preparing the recipient site with CO2 laser dermabrasion.
- Stability Assessment: Training on how to accurately gauge when a patient is a candidate for surgery versus medical management.
- Advanced Equipment Handling: Practical training on using 308nm Excimer lasers and NB-UVB chambers effectively to support surgical results.
I have had the honor of speaking and coordinating workshops at major medical forums, including the Annual State Conference of IADVL (Cuticon-CG), the 7th Aesthetica Asia International Conference, and Dermacon. Whether it is a large-scale event with over 250 attendees or an intimate training session, the goal remains the same: sharing practical knowledge that improves patient care.
For patients visiting this page, these credentials serve a purpose. They highlight my commitment to staying at the forefront of dermatological science and ensure that the techniques I offer in my own practice are informed by the most current international standards. I am not just treating skin; I am working to elevate the quality of vitiligo care available to everyone.
