About Cherished Family Moments
You do not need a perfect group photo to get a family portrait. I often combine individual shots from different images into one cohesive composition using the grid method. Even if your family members were never in the same photo, I can bring them together to create a scene that looks and feels completely natural.
Whether it is for a birthday, an anniversary, or just to keep a loved one close, a handmade family sketch carries a weight that a digital print often misses. I start by mapping out the composition, ensuring that the alignment of faces and the flow of the sketch look balanced. For family portraits, I generally recommend A3 or A2 sizes, as these provide enough space to capture intricate details like clothing textures and the shared joy in expressions.
I use professional-grade 200 GSM acid-free paper and high-quality graphite and charcoal pencils. The process involves multiple stages, from the initial outline to the layering of shading, where I build up depth to make the portraits look realistic. To ensure your artwork stays pristine for years, I apply an archival fixative spray, which prevents smudging and yellowing. Once completed, the portrait is carefully rolled into a heavy-duty, moisture-proof safety tube and shipped securely anywhere in India. If you have a specific group of photos you want to merge, share them with me, and we can discuss the best composition for your wall.
