About Portraits of Her
When sending your reference photo, try to choose a high-resolution image, especially one that clearly captures her eyes and smile. I use the grid method to ensure exact proportions, so the clarity of your original photo directly influences the depth and realism I can achieve in the final charcoal or graphite sketch.
A handmade portrait is more than just paper and lead. Whether you are planning a birthday surprise or an anniversary gift, I treat every sketch as a personal project, ensuring it feels like a memory rather than just a drawing.
My Process
I start by analyzing your photo using a grid method to map out the facial structure. This ensures that the likeness is accurate. I then build the portrait layer by layer, using professional-grade graphite and charcoal pencils. For the highlights and soft skin tones, I use blending tools to ensure the shading looks natural and life-like. Once the drawing is complete, I apply an archival fixative spray to prevent smudging and yellowing, so your gift stays protected for years.
Materials & Quality
I work on Brustro 200 GSM acid-free paper, which provides a sturdy, premium base for intricate shading. Depending on the size you choose—A4, A3, or A2—I adjust my technique to capture fine details, from the texture of her hair to the intricate patterns on her clothing or jewelry.
Ordering & Delivery
Since this is a custom order, shipping is handled with extreme care. I pack each sketch in heavy-duty safety tubes or rigid, waterproof containers to ensure the artwork arrives at your doorstep anywhere in India without any bends or folds. When you message me, we can discuss the best size for your needs and the timeline for your commission.
