Hand-drawn Portraits and Atmospheric Paintings
From realistic pencil portraits to textured acrylic landscapes, this is the heart of my work. Every piece captures a moment or a person that matters, built from years of practice and my lifelong passion for art.
Watch how I bring a photograph to life. This is a custom color pencil portrait I created, focusing on capturing the subject's bright smile and happy expression. The process involves careful layering of colors to achieve a realistic and personal piece of art.
This was my first time experimenting with oil paints, and I really enjoyed creating this piece. It's a still life painting of a cocktail, where I tried to capture the feel of the smoke and the glow of the lemon. A modern piece of artwork for any space.
A landscape painting I did using acrylics on a wooden sheet. I love how the texture of the wood adds to the feel of the forest scene. This piece captures a peaceful moonlight view with birds in the sky.
I created this acrylic painting of a woman walking in the rain at night. I wanted to capture the mood of a rainy evening, playing with light from the streetlamp and reflections on the wet pavement.
A little bit about my journey. I talk about how my love for art started in my village, the struggles I faced, and how I continue to balance my design career with my passion for painting and caricatures.
A look back at some of the different paintings I created when I started focusing more on this craft in 2019. You can see a variety of my work here, from landscapes and still life to nature paintings.
About Featured
When you commission a piece, please remember that I do not rush. Whether it is a realistic portrait on acid-free paper or an acrylic landscape on wood, I take 7 to 10 days to layer the colors and details. You are not just getting a drawing, you are getting a piece of work that I have spent hours focusing on, from the light in an eye to the texture of a rainy street.
My Approach to Your Art
I treat every project as a fresh challenge. My realistic portraits are designed to capture likeness and expression rather than just a resemblance. I use professional color pencils and markers on high-grade acid-free paper to ensure the sketch lasts. Once done, I frame it with a glass front and pre-installed hooks, so it is ready to hang the moment it reaches you.
For my landscape and still-life paintings, I lean towards acrylics. I love the texture you can get with a palette knife or brush. Depending on your preference, I can paint on a stretched gallery-style canvas or a rustic wooden sheet. I seal these with a protective varnish to keep the colors vibrant and free from dust. Since these do not use glass, you get a much more tactile, visual experience.
Practical Details
- Timelines: Because I work on these by hand, expect a 7 to 10 day turnaround for paintings and 4 to 7 days for sketches. Please plan your gift timelines accordingly.
- Input: High-resolution photos are essential for portraits. For landscapes, a clear reference image helps me understand the mood and lighting you are looking for.
- Shipping: I bubble-wrap and securely package everything for shipping. While I am based in Delhi and often handle local deliveries, I do ship my artwork across India.
This is not mass-produced art. It is a slow, deliberate process, and I appreciate clients who understand that good work takes a little patience.
