Festival Celebrations & Sacred Rituals in Dwarka
On special occasions, our centre becomes a space of shared devotion. Join us for traditional pujas, havan rituals, and community gatherings that bring peace and energy to your life.
Our announcement for the Maha Shivratri festival, a significant night of worship. The celebration includes a full schedule of rituals like Havan, Pooja, Lingam Abhishekam, and continuous bhajans.
An invitation for our Gurupoornima celebration, a day to honor the guru. The event includes a sacred Sri Guru Homa fire ceremony, followed by aarti and the sharing of prasad.
We hold a puja every Sunday, and all are welcome to attend. This is a beautiful ceremony of worship with flowers, lamps, and mantras, creating a sacred start to the week.
We celebrate International Yoga Day with a special morning yoga class for the entire community. It is a day to honor the global tradition of yoga, followed by refreshments and fellowship.
A glimpse of the deities at our centre, including Nataraja, Krishna, and the Devi. They are lovingly decorated and worshipped during our pujas and festivals, filling the space with divine presence.
About Festival Celebrations & Sacred Rituals
When you step into our centre during a festival or Sunday satsang, you are not just observing a ritual; you are part of a shared practice. Whether it is the rhythmic chanting during a Havan or the quiet light of the Ganga Arati, these ceremonies are designed to help you settle the mind and connect with the group energy.
Our approach to festivals and rituals is rooted in the simple desire to come together. We do not believe in complex, inaccessible ceremonies. Instead, we host events like Maha Shivratri and Gurupoornima as community gatherings where everyone is welcome, regardless of whether you are new to the path or have been practicing for years.
What to Expect
During our larger celebrations, the centre transforms. We perform traditional Vedic ceremonies, including:
- Havan (Fire Lab): A sacred fire ceremony where we offer ghee and herbs while chanting mantras to purify the atmosphere.
- Abhishekam: The ritual bathing of the deity, often using milk, honey, and water, which is a serene experience to witness.
- Kirtan and Bhajans: Devotional singing accompanied by the harmonium and manjira. This is the heart of our community life, where we chant in Sanskrit to uplift the spirit.
Practical Details
We operate on a nonprofit basis. Our Sunday Satsangs and seasonal rituals are donation-based, making them accessible to all. We provide floor seating on dhurries (thin carpets) and meditation cushions for all attendees. After the rituals, we serve Maha Prasad or a shared community meal, which is a wonderful time to connect with others, share stories, and feel the warmth of our Dwarka community.
We welcome families, solo practitioners, and anyone looking for a positive, spiritual atmosphere. There is no need to worry about etiquette; simply walk in, join the group, and feel the energy.
