Mastering Your Golf Drive at Siri Fort
Hitting a long, straight drive is the best feeling in golf. At Siri Fort, I help you fix your setup and swing mechanics to get that power behind every shot.
Getting the driver shot right is all about body mechanics. I'm giving instructions here: 'Shoulder se right, thoda hip se bhi right jao,' to help the student get more power and rotation into his swing. The result was a very good shot.
A smooth, powerful swing at the Siri Fort Golf Driving Range. We work on achieving a consistent swing tempo that isn't rushed, which is key for both distance and accuracy with the driver.
This is a great example of a powerful driver shot. Notice the full rotation and high finish, which are signs of a well-executed swing that we practice during our sessions.

About Mastering the Drive
Your driver swing isn't about brute force. It's about body mechanics. When we practice at Siri Fort, we focus on shoulder rotation, keeping the back straight, and maintaining a smooth tempo. If you are rushing the downswing, you are losing distance and accuracy.
The drive sets the tone for your entire game. Many students think hitting harder equals more distance, but without the right mechanics, you will just find the rough.
The Fundamentals We Cover
- The Setup: We check your stance width and grip first. You need a stable base to generate power.
- Backswing & Rotation: I watch your shoulder and hip turn. Like I tell my students, 'Shoulder se right, thoda hip se bhi right jao.' That rotation is where your power comes from.
- Tempo: A rushed swing is a missed shot. We practice smooth, consistent tempo so you make solid contact with the center of the clubface every time.
Why Practice at Siri Fort?
It is not just about the hitting bay. The environment at the Siri Fort Driving Range helps you visualize your ball flight. Whether you are a total beginner or just need to fix a stubborn slice, we use smartphone video analysis so you can see your swing from the side and back. You see the movement patterns I am talking about, and we adjust your posture until it feels natural.
My Coaching Approach
I keep it hands-on. If your posture is tight, we fix it—'Halka sa knee flex' is usually the answer. We will work on your irons and woods, but we will always prioritize that confidence boost you get from a clean, straight drive.
