About Meet the Artisans & Our Philosophy
Creating a garment with us requires a 4-5 week timeline and 2-3 physical sessions, including baste and forward trials. This extended process allows us to address individual posture needs, such as shoulder droop or unique stance, ensuring the final piece moves with you.
True style is often about what you choose to exclude. Our philosophy centers on the 60-30-10 rule, where we establish a dominant color or texture, balance it with a secondary element, and add a single point of focus. This approach prevents a look from becoming chaotic and keeps the attention on the person, not just the clothing.
We utilize half-canvas construction for our jackets. Unlike fused alternatives that rely on adhesives, our method uses a layer of horsehair canvas that sits between the fabric and lining. Over time, this canvas molds to your chest, creating a fit that is genuinely yours. We believe that a suit should not just hang on your body; it should respond to your movements.
When you visit our studio in Khar, Mumbai, the conversation goes beyond measurements. We discuss your routine, the climates you navigate, and the impressions you aim to leave. We favor fabrics like Egyptian cotton and high-count wools that breathe well in our climate, ensuring your comfort is as prioritized as your silhouette.
