Capturing kids and pets together is an unpredictable adventure. I embrace that chaos rather than fighting it, often using a touch of editing later to make sure everyone is looking at the lens, so you do not need to stress about perfect poses during the shoot.
When you bring a pet into a photoshoot, the usual rules of 'staying still' go out the window, and that is exactly how I like it. Whether you are bringing your dog to my Andheri studio or I am setting up my lights in your living room, the goal is always the same: to catch the real connection.
I have learned that the best shots happen when kids are playing with their pets, not when they are forced to sit on a chair. If your pup is shy or your toddler is feeling energetic, we take breaks. We play. We wait for that genuine giggle or a soft nuzzle.
Because I have spent years working with newborns and kids, patience is my primary tool. I do not rush. If we need to spend time letting your pet sniff the equipment or get comfortable with the environment, we do it. And for those times when the puppy looks left while the baby looks right? That is where a bit of Photoshop magic helps me combine the best frames into one perfect memory.
