About Complete Family Portraits
You might worry about your pet sitting still, but that is actually my favorite part. I do not force stiff, formal poses; if your dog wants to sniff around or your cat decides to nap, I simply work around it. My goal is to capture your family exactly as you are, treating treat breaks and playtime as part of the session, not an interruption.
My Approach to Family Portraits
When we do a family shoot, the goal is not perfection, it is connection. I have found that the best photos happen when you and your pet are comfortable. Whether we are hanging out in your living room or exploring a quiet park, I prioritize a relaxed pace. This allows your pet to warm up to the camera on their own terms.
What Happens During the Session
I offer three types of sessions to suit your energy levels:
- 1 Hour Mini Session: Perfect for a quick update or an announcement. It is focused and keeps the momentum high.
- 2 Hour Standard Session: This is the sweet spot for most families. It gives us enough time for an outfit change and, more importantly, enough time for your pet to have treat breaks and play sessions.
- 3 Hour Extended Session: Best if you have multiple pets or want a mix of indoor and outdoor shots. This is a stress-free pace where we can capture a wide range of emotions and interactions without rushing.
Why Include Your Pet?
Because they are family. Whether your dog is a big brother to-be or your cat is the quiet observer of your home, these portraits freeze a chapter of your life. My photography style uses natural light to keep the focus on the raw emotions—the laughter, the cuddles, and even the goofy moments when they try to steal the spotlight.
