About Fun & Playful Portraits
These sessions are about comfort as much as they are about creativity. Because we use intricate themes like our tiny chef or spa setups, we work slowly. We keep the studio at a steady 26–28 degrees, allowing your baby to stay fast asleep while we shift props, ensuring you get these artistic shots without any fuss or stress.
When we talk about fun themes, we’re really talking about fine-art storytelling. Whether it’s a newborn 'chef' in a cooking pot or a little baseball fan, these sessions require more than just a camera. It takes patience and a controlled studio environment. We handle all the styling, from the tiny outfits to the background elements, so you don't have to bring anything except your baby.
Safety remains our priority even with these creative setups. For hanging props or elaborate scenes like our moon swings, we use composite photography. This means we shoot the prop and the baby separately and blend them digitally, so your baby never actually balances on a prop. This technique allows us to achieve impossible, magical looks while your little one rests comfortably on a soft, stable surface.
We usually book these sessions for when your baby is 7 to 15 days old. This is the sweet spot where they are sleepy enough to pose comfortably in these outfits. If you have a specific theme in mind—maybe something related to your own profession or a hobby you share—we can often custom-style a setup. Our Defence Colony studio is fully equipped for this, with temperature control and white noise machines to keep things calm, even when the setup looks like a busy kitchen or a spa.
