About Traditional Indian Art Forms

When we work on Tanjore painting, we don't just paint. We spend a lot of time on the 'muck' work, which is the chalk powder and gum relief that gives your piece that signature 3D depth. It takes patience to build that relief before we even touch the gold foil or semi-precious stones, but that is exactly where the beauty of this craft comes from.
