My focus during Mehendi and Haldi is keeping the momentum going between rituals. Whether it is the classic shoe game or quick ice-breakers to help the bride's and groom's families mix, I make sure nobody is sitting awkwardly in the corner while you get your henna done.
Daytime events like Haldi and Mehendi are tricky. The sun is out, people might be tired from a late Sangeet, and the vibe can easily get low. My job is to act as the bridge between families.
I don't do formal announcements. Instead, I use a high-energy mix of English and Hindi to keep the crowd engaged. I coordinate with your DJ to ensure the Bolly-Punjabi mix stays consistent throughout the afternoon. If we are running behind schedule because of the MUA or photographers, I manage the filler time with games like Tug of War or Musical Chairs so the guests stay entertained.
Everything is tailored to your guest list. I make sure to include the elders with light-hearted commentary, while keeping the younger crowd hooked with interactive fun. My goal is to ensure the energy stays up from the moment guests arrive until the music fades out.
