I often tell my couples: a 'perfect' dance is fine, but a 'real' dance stays with you forever. When we work on a surprise performance, we start by looking at your story. Did you meet in college? Is this a tribute to your parents? We pick songs that actually mean something to you, not just what's trending on Instagram.
I usually handle the 'vibe' of the performance—the transitions, the entry, and the cues for your DJ. My job as your emcee is to warm up the crowd right before you step on stage. We don't want a cold start; we want the audience ready to tear up or cheer.
