Before the music starts and the stage lights hit, I am already deep into venue recce, DJ sync, and show flow coordination to ensure that your event isn't just a series of performances, but a seamless story that you and your guests can actually enjoy.
More Than Just Steps
When you see a flawless sangeet performance, you are seeing the tip of the iceberg. My work starts long before the wedding festivities begin. Whether it is a solo groom performance or a massive family group dance, the goal is to make sure the process doesn't stress you out.
My Process
- The Planning Phase: We start with a 30-minute consultation to map out your journey. It is about understanding who is shy, who is a pro, and how to mix everyone in. We build a show flow that avoids those awkward dead air moments.
- The Rehearsals: I don't just teach steps. We work on timing, energy, and comfort. If that means late-night Zoom sessions or home visits to get the steps right, that is part of the job.
- Venue Management: Before the show, I do a full walkthrough. I check the stage size, coordinate with the DJ on music edits, and make sure the lighting cues are ready. When you arrive, your only job is to show up and perform.
- The Anchor's Role: Being on the mic is about reading the room. I manage the flow, handle the transitions between performances, and keep the energy high. If there is a technical glitch, that is on me to manage, not you.
